As a foundation pit excavating support technology which is easy and celerity toimplement, safe and less cost, soil nailing is getting more and more application todeep excavation construction. In this thesis, analysis of whole performance andinterior mechanism of plain soil slope and nailing wall with FLAC3D finite differenceprogram has been carried out. At the same time, the impacts on failure mode of plainsoil slope, displacement variation of soil nailing wall and axial force of nail. Inaddition, the paper has a further research on the influence of soil nailing behavior inthe perspective of the effect of the length of nails and the angle of nails. The studyresults reveal some laws:(1) As soil slope and soil nailing wall excavating, the range of affected soil havegrown. The distortion curve distributes downward in arc.(2) The change of plane displacement of the soil slope before failure is similar tothat of the soil nailing wall, that is, the nearer to the ground the shorter the planedisplacement is , vice versa . Later, with the failure of the soil slope, the top of thefoundation pit has the maximum plane displacement.(3) The axis-force of soil nailing moves from the position near the panel to themiddle of the soil nails, with soil slope and soil nailing wall excavating.(4) It is useful to restrict the plane displacement of the soil and increase theaxis-force of every row soil nails by increasing the length of soil nail.(5) Setting the level and little obliquity will conduce to restrict the planedisplacement of the soil. Also, the bigger the obliquity is, the less the axis-force is.On the basis of the analysis, the numerical model of a real civil work is built byFLAC3D, and its results are compared with survey result in site, which indicates thatthe numerical simulation of this thesis is feasible.
