With the rapid development of power industry, the problem of voltage stability isbecoming increasingly serious as time goes on. The existing problems of national large-scalesituation that power construction lags behind the economic development, which leads to theresult that the probabilities of power grid limit transforming ability increase tremendously inpower system. the security of power system is threatened by voltage stability accident to alarge extent. According to the significance of practical application of voltage stability inpower net programming and running , the paper starts with static voltage stability to researchcontingency screening and preventive control based on static voltage stability.In this paper a new contingency screening and ranking method is formed by combiningiterative filtering screening technology with continuation power flow analysis. Researchingpreventive control policy in reactive power compensation and load control when themargin of stability is serious, and reciprocal math model is given;through the exempleof IEEE39 typical system , the availability of the discussed methods in this dissertationwas approved. Aimed at the real grid, the contingency screening analysis and preventivecontrol policy based on Beijing power grid is discussed;the static voltage stabilityanalysis software based on figure draw of Beijing grid is realized, and the software hasthe junction to BPA .
