The result of static analysis method has some error due to a certain extent ofsimplification. And the nonlinear characteristic of dynamic time domain simulation limits itspractical application. While the small disturbance method, which has clear physics meaningand strict theory, has become a major project. Load characteristics are vital to voltage stability,especially the dynamic load such as induction and air conditioning load.This paper focuses on the study of small disturbance voltage stability and dynamic loadcharacteristics. First, it makes a comparison among the methods of static, small disturbanceand dynamic time domain simulation voltage stability. Second, it studies small disturbancevoltage stability method according to the relation between state variable and eigenvalue. Third,it analyzes the influence of different load characteristics on small disturbance voltage stability.And finally provides a full-scale analysis on the basic characteristics of air conditioning load.
