High-Resolution and High-Sensitivity MicroSPECT is the recent hot-point fieldof nuclear medical imaging. It is very useful for the research of pathology andmedicine. The design of MicroSPECT's detector and electronics is the key work forthe hardware. In this thesis, a systemic investigation about MicroSPECT's detectorand electronics has been carried out. A full comparison between the scintillationdetectors and the CdZnTe detectors has been made. For the scintillation detectors, this thesis studied lots of related references andmade some conclusions. This thesis used Mente Carlo method to simulate theprocedure of γ photons' incident to study the relationship between the scintillator'sthickness and its spatial resolution. For its electronics, this thesis used some newmethods such as waveform digitization and peak-pile prevent method (PPM) toimprove the system performance, such as precision and maxim count rate. For the CdZnTe detector, this thesis designed its encapsulation. After that, a fulltest and evaluation of the 256 channels of the CdZnTe detector was made. For itselectronics, this dissertation presents a compact design by using programmablelogical device (PLD) to control the data acquisition and transfer. What's more, this dissertation presents other hardware designs, including thehigh voltage and low voltage supply, the gantry and its controller of motors.
