Pile embedded in rock is pile foundation whose shaft is embedded partly or entirely in rock. By reason of its high bearing capacity, small settlement and goof anti-earthquake property it has been mainly used in bridge, tall structure and heavy mill building.In this thesis, situ measured datum are colleted to analysis the characteristic of pile who is subjected to vertical load. The different loaded characteristic of short pile, middle pile and long pile are obtained. At the same time the mechanism and the mechanics rule are educed. At the basis of this, the yield and failure criteria of rock-soil mass which is adapted to practice project is adopted. The mathematics mode of pile-rock and pile soil interaction is constituted, this mode is partly theory and partly experience. So the formulate of bearing capacity of pile embedded in rock is educed.And, situ measured datum are colleted to analysis characteristic of settlement of pile embedded in rock of tip pile, top pile and compress of concrete of pile shaft and analysis the factors which affect top settlement and tip settlement of pile embedded in rock .such as pile diameter, pile length, material of soil of pile shaft and material of rock of tip pile, rock strength of pile tip, pile embedded in rock and so on. Using elasticity theory analysis the settlement of pile embedded in rock of tip pile and top pile. The modified Pells method is use to calculate settlement of pile embedded in rock.The problem of pile embedded in rock length is the focus of pile embedded in rock pile problem that people study always about. In this thesis, through situ measurement datum and Flac3D software the least pile embedded in rock length is obtained. Combining with project time and economic rationality the more scientific and rational pile embedded in rock length is achieved. At one time in this thesis through the large geotechnical software Flac3D, the factors of pile length, pile diameter, rock strength of pile tip, material of pile shaft, pile embedded in rocklength and so on which affect pile embedded in rock are analysized. Among these factors pile lengths rock strength of pile tip and pile embedded in rock length are the main factors, but which of these three factors is dominant, it is depend on the idiographic conditions.The results of actual measurement datum and the Flac3D are compared. Some conclusions and suggestions which can be used as a reference in design and construction are achieved.
