With the continuously speed advancing of train, the current collection, the flexibility of overhead contact line and the dynamic performance characteristics of catenary-pantograph system for high-speed railway are more fastidious than regular, therefore, more and more attention are payed to the study of dynamic catenary-pantograph characteristics.The proposed detection system of geometric parameters works both with raised pantograph and with unraised pantograph, that is, to obtain the dynamic parameters and the static parameters. Besides separately study of those two groups of result data, they could also be used to analyze together with comparison.The original data acquisition is carring out by laser measurement device, which is connected to a prepositive embedded processing computer with RS422 protocol;fast computed and processed for the original data by the established arithmetic, verified by the validity verification program based on the combination of two control methods of all three, the height of contact wire and zigzag are transfered to the host with a display. Based on analysis of object and its background, three methods of data validation control are advanced. According to different desire accurateness for zigzag or for height of contact wire, two system solutions are designed, that is, vertical scanning and gradient scanning. The former is popular with preferable zigzag accurateness and medium height accurateness, while the latter is more favorable for excellent height accurateness with worse zigzag accurateness. The prepositive processing program is designed and coded. Meanwhile, to display the parameters value and curve, the host testing program is developed. At last, being applied to Guangzhou subway of line 4, the expectant aim is achieved.
