Be it high-speed or heavy load train, braking is a very critical issue. Unless braking problem is solved, the safety problem of high-speed or heavy load train will not be guaranteed, even with high-quality lines, super traction power. At present in China, disc and ingot shoe tread braking are mainly modes in passenger car. With the speed improvement of locomotive and high transition pace of internal combustion locomotive to electrical locomotive braking problems have becoming increasingly prominent.Accident always occurred because of abnormal vibration in braking system. It is difficult to solve owning to complexity of multi-dimensions dynamics system theory. And friction chatters in actual engineering also is complex.Due to incomplete mathematical model of friction in large machines, dynamic behaviors caused by nonlinear factor in system have not been understood absolutely. It can not satisfy modern industrial design, so establishing dynamic friction chatter theory is urgent to disclosure nonlinear factor in system. This is very significant to improve the stability, safety and reliability of system. This research is based on that premise, with MATLAB and SIMPACK.Firstly, this paper considers mechanics of chatter by friction in theoretically. Second the paper concludes that system parameters as chattering, important factors affecting chatter, with MATLAB and SIMPACK.1 Overviewed research present state and perspective.2 Frictions make brake system be nonlinear character. The paper summarized several forms of friction and analyzed its rationality.3 Analyzed several simplified mathematics mode and put forward reasonable mathematics mode.4 Confirmed that there is instability point in the dynamical system and obtained instability forms, by theoretical derivation of simplified mathematics mode.5 Analyzed system stiffness, mass and structure damp which affect the brake system dynamics., provided means to avoid chatter.6 By SIMPACK simulation, the paper concludes that how brake systeminfluences dynamic character of entire vehicle.
