With the development of social economy and the raise of people's living quality, the elevated railroad has brought us with great convenience, at the mean time it also can cause environmental vibration which the influence to human's life and work environment has aroused widely attention. In this paper, the propagation, the mechanism and the vibration evaluation method of vibration are studied by both in situ experimental and theory method, based on the observed dataset of the first urban elevated light-railway in WuHan.The key points of this paper can be concluding as follows:1. In order to obtain the environmental vibration's characteristics of attention with distance, the acceleration curves and its Fourier Spectrums at different testing-point are compared. And the attention rates of different frequency vibration can be get from the curve of the VL of 1/3-octave component with increase of distance. At last ,linear method and compound regression method are carried to study the attenuation empirical formal of VL and peak acceleration.2. Based on the situ experimental data, new method to measure the vibration of building is proposed for the ((Measurement Method of Environment Vibration of Urban Area)) enacted in 1988.The means to calculate base vibration is brought forward also. The effect of the base vibration to the whole environmental vibration is discussed by the means3. In order to analyze the vibration influence on the nearby building, three-dimensional finite element models of frame structure and frame-tube structure are set up by ANSYS. Choose two acceleration curves get in situ experiment as stimulation. The dynamic responses of buildings are analyzed. The result shows that the building response of every floor is tightly correlated with the building structure style.4. The finite element model of pier-pile-soil is established to stimulate the ground vibration induced by elevated rail system. And the compare between the result of calculation and that of test shows that this method can be used to predict the VL of ground caused by elevated rail traffic.
