Experiment Research On The Scour About The Bridge Pier

The pier scour is one of major reason for bridge's damage. A lot of domestic and international scholar and Scientists and Technologists have carried out plenty of research about pier scour, such as indoor model test, the observation of open country and value calculation, and they have put forward many experience and half-experience of formula about scour depth calculation. But so far, the erode mechanism knowledge and theoretically study are very limited, just because the pier-erosion phenomenon is very complex, and has numerous influencing factor. So, the Further research is necessary.This essay systematically summarize the results accomplishment about pier scour for many years. For being convenient to study, pier scour would be divide into three part: erosion by develop naturally, generally erosion and part of pier-erosion . Erosion by develop naturally having no calculation method of quantitative analysis at present, we should make the proper estimation according to concrete historical development of river and actual observation materials to simulated river course in practical application. Additionally, some generally erosion calculations have also included erosion by develop naturally.There are three kinds of guideline about the establishment of formula of generally erosion. Now the popular formula are the formula 64-land formula 64-2. There are many research about the part of pier scour, and established formula have 2 kinds mainly: experience formula and half experience formula, and the popular is the correction formula of 65-2 type.To further study about pier scour problem, flume experiments are carried out. In experiment we observe the wind floating phenomenon, brings forward the flow model of circumfluence compression. Based on this, the formula of local erosion can be established by theoretical deduction. Then, specific analysis for the property of formula were given by theoretical calculation. To verify it by formula and actualobservation materials, the result shows: the model which we depend on is feasible, and the structure of formula is reasonable.Besides, generalized about existing pier scour protective methods, and on this foundation, bring forward a kind of new method about pier scour protect which be combined with throwing pillow and mass of arrangement which study by ChangJing Waterway design research institute.
