| Organic pollution in drinking water attract more and more people's attention. Research and develop new effective adsorbent is the focus for the present. This dissertation compiled many data, we find that high effective adsorbent is practical in water purification,and that to develop this adsorbent need high technique. According to character of chitosan specific physical chemistry and excellent bioactivity,A safe water purification sorbent based on chitosan was developed .The physical and chemical characteristics and the adsorbability removing organic matter of the sorbent were studied.Experimental results showed that:1. Orthogonal experiment results The Optimized prepared process is ratio 2:8; cross-linking temperature 60℃, cross-linking dosage 1mL/g and particle size 1.0mm.2. Impaction of pH is very large on adsorption capacity, in acid water it conducive to adsorption but in alkli it declines capacity.3. Freundlich isotherm and Langmuir isotherm were suggested as the appropriate types to depict adsorbent's adsorption, the adsorption of the composited adsorbent to organic matter is surface adsorption,and interaction between molecules.4. High adsorption speed, and the adsorbing process is closed to second order reactions.5. In dynamic experiments,when higher bed hight lower concentration or lower flow rate,the breadthrough time of adsorbent was much longer . and the adsorbent' uptake capacity is 1.2-1.5 times to GAC.6. It is simple to desorpt and use proper sodium hydroxide.through second regeneration, the efficiency of the composited adsorbent could also attain 80% .7.The composited adsorbent have antimicrobial activity.The results indicated that the composite adsorbent satisfied the fundamental requests of environmental materials, and had gotten successfully application in the practice.
