3-D vision measurement is a newborn and promising technology and it is widely used in Reverse Engineering, rapid inspection of product etc. The 3-D laser measurement system has been developed and commercialized in the Center of Rapid Prototyping of HUST (Huazhong University of Science and Technology).On the success of the HRE-I 3-D laser measurement system based on the double CCD, the new measurement based on the single CCD is provided .Aiming at the 3-D laser measurement system and the joint-type measurement system, the paper put forward the technology of tracking measurement based on pre-scanning and signal separately. By analyzing the theory and realization of the single CCD measurement, the method is achieved, which use linear laser, single CCD and build the model of eyelet imaging and laser plane constraint. Using computer to control camera to shot the object continually and process the image timely, the pels coordinates of the laser can be get accurately. The 2-D coordinate can be changed to 3-D coordinate based on the arithmetic model builded and the automatic measurement is completed after the object can be rebuild as point cloud. The key part of the measurement such as lens, CCD vidicon and image gathering module card is dissertated in this thesis. During the course of 3-D laser measurement system scanning, because the limit of depth of field ,the result is always out of precision when the large surface undulation appear. To assure the surface to be in the depth of field, the tracking control is needed. The paper put forward that according to approximate surface information after the pre-scanning ,the same route tracking scanning can assure the measured surface in the depth of field of camera. By this means, the accurate measurement can be achieved, For the joint-type measurement system , According to how to control the object surface in depth of field and to be vertical to laser surface, the paper put forward the signal tracking arithmetic to achieve tracking measurement and analyze it .
