Now, with development of technology, the throughput and breed of chemical enlarge rapidly .it holds important station in people's living. Fewness chemicals bring serious harm to environment and people's health, especially pollutions are induced by VOCs. The current technologies for controlling VOCs have associated with some problems. Pulse corona induced plasma discharge process (PCPP) is regarded as a promising technology to control these Pollutants. In this dissertation, the applied research in decomposition VOCs by pulse corona discharge plasma is discussed primarily. In this paper, firstly, introduce simply VOCs in its conception, existent estate, kind harm and control indoor, describe several modes decomposing VOCs now. Subsequently bring forward that non-thermal plasma decompose VOCs is a late-model promising technology. Secondly, it analyse basic theory of non-thermal plasma in its form and non-thermal plasma merit and demerit as well as its application is come into being by different modes. In this chapter it analyse importantly basic theory of theory of non-thermal plasma, it provides academic base for decomposition VOCs by pulse corona discharge plasma. On elementary theory of non-thermal plasma, the mechanism of VOCs destruction was decided: under the action of activated particles (such as high-energy electrons, ozone, radicals, etc) produced by discharge reaction, a series of physical and chemical reaction will take place, the result is that harmful VOCs is decomposed into unharmful substance. The removal pathways are: fist, high-energy electrons undergo an inelastic collision with target molecule, and transfers all or part of its kinetic energy to molecule. Inelastic collisions result in a charge to the target molecule such as ionization, dissociation or excitation. Secondly, cracked molecules are oxidated into CO2,CO and H2O by ozone and oxygen plasma. Finally, it analyse factors of affecting decomposition efficiency, it provide academic basic and referenced basis for plasma actor designing. Then analyse feasibility of plasma reactor on economy and estimate requisite bankroll if we are going to apply it to condition system.
