Along with the developing of economic, the foundation construction has been enhanced. During the construction, slope and excavation retaining is inevitable, they need constructing retaining wall. After the first anchor rod wall applied in China in 1960s, because of the advantage of the anchor rod wall, it has been popular. However, the theory is lagging behind the engineering practice, so the research on the anchor rod wall is very necessary. Founded on the review of the previous researches, the mechanical functions of anchor rod wall has been studied, and the listed below has been carried out:1.Firstly, the anti-pulling capacity has been calculated. Secondly, by opening the mathematics model research of the P-S curve of anchor rod, the hyperbolic model and exponential model that simulate the P-S curve of anchor rod have been contrasted and analyzed in this paper referring to the date of pull-out tests of anchor rod; In the last, we also discussed the use of the nonequidistance GM(1,1) model for simulating the P-S curve of anchor rod and predicting the ultimate capacity of anchor rod, in the same time, we discussed if we can predict the ultimate capacity of anchor rod by using the data of anchor rod pull-out tests before breakage. Practical engineering examples proved that this model can meet the precision of project requirement.2. Finite element analyzed for anchor rod wall has been carried out, and the "tope-down" construction has been simulated, we advanced the character of horizontal displacement; The mechanical functions of anchor rod wall has discussed, we figured out that the anchor rod wall can ameliorate the mechanical conditions of the slope, and we also figured out that the distributing of axial force of the anchor rod is like a parabola.3.Adopting limit state finite element method, the mechanical functions of anchor rod wall has been discussed. We realized that along with the pressure of slope increased, the anchor rod wall can evidently control the horizontal displacement of slope, and if the pressure of the slope was great, the anchor rod wall can adjust the distribution forms of horizontal displacement; we also realized that the anchor rod wall can notablely increased the bearing ability of the slope.4. Finite element analyzed for prestressed anchor rod wall has been carried out, and the function of prestressed has been discussed. By element analysis, we realized that the prestressed anchor rod wall can control the horizontal displacement better than the anchor rod wall, we advanced the distribution of the axial force of bonded zone. We also analyzed the influence of the value of prestress and pointed out thatalong with the increase of prestress value, the horizontal displacement isn't decreasing linearly, in practical engineer, it is very important to confirm a reasonable prestress value.5.Aiming at the lass of research on tectonic stress field, we has discussed the influence of horizontal tectonic stress, and we advanced the distribution rules of horizontal displacement. We also discussed the influence of tectonic stress value to the horizontal displacement of slope, and pointed out that along with increase of the horizontal tectonic stress, the horizontal displacement of slope increased linearly.
