The study of slope stability is a key problem in slope engineering. It is essential for the procedure in highway's following operation to ensure long-term slope stability. So it is of important application signification for design and control of slope to further study the factors of the slope's deformation and its stability evaluation. The method of fuzzy synthetic assessment is one of the most useful fuzzy mathematics methods presently. It is of advantage to deal with conception of experience illegibility, and it transforms uncertainty to certainty in form and quantifies illegibility in order to carry out the transformation from quality to quantity of slope stability evaluation. Influencing factors of slope stability which is then to be classified and endowed with some weighted value should be found out, and according to the most subjection degree the stability of slopes can be estimated. It shows that the result of fuzzy synthetic assessment method is fine and it provides an effective measure for synthesis quantify evaluation of slope stability which influenced by multiple factors. Taking the Minhou-Minqing section of 316 national highway as an example, based on the site investigation and geotechnical engineering geological condition, the main influencing factors of slope stability of the section are presented and the method of fuzzy synthetic assessment is used for it. The grade, height of slope, groundwater, strength of rainfall, degree of weathering and human function are adopted as evaluating factors and the stability degree of the section is quantified. The results indicated that the slopes of the section are basically instable and of evidence trend to instability. The result of the research is reconciled with Sweden method of slice and practically in principle, which shows that the method is feasible and makes the results accord with the fact much more. The results of the research are of important signification to the forecast of the granite residual soil landslide and adopting corresponding control measure, and it can be extended to the slope stability study with resemble condition.
