In these years, large numbers of high-rise and super-high-rise buildings have appeared in our country, As the natural periods of super-high-rise buildings are longer and the main frequency ranges of wind-load are relatively near, so the effect of wind-loads on super-high-rise buildings is more remarkable. However, field measurements is the most credible method of evaluating the effect of wind-load on construction and obtaining structure dynamic characteristic. Some important parameters and experiential formulas in the design of high-rise and super-high-rise buildings are still confirmed by the result of field measurements. When Typhoon IMBUDO passed by Guangzhou in July and September 2003, the maximum wind velocity at the height 330m was up to 24m/s. Nearly 20-hour long 2-dimensional strong wind data have been measured with an anemometer placed at the height of 330m. The measured wind data are analyzed in this paper to obtain the average wind velocity and direction, gust factor, turbulence intensity, turbulence integral length and turbulence power spectrum. The results clearly demonstrate that the turbulence intensity and gust factor of strong wind are larger than normal, the turbulence integral length is about...
