The damage detection of building with the technique of structural physical parameters identification has received increasing attention in structural engineering in the past years. Based on the identification objective, the structural identification methods can be divided into modal parameter identification and structural physical parameter identification. In this paper, the identification of structural physical parameters and its applications in shaking table test are studied. The main research works are outlined as following:The first part of this dissertation mainly introduces the mathematical model suitable for structural physical parameters identification. Based on the finite element model, the state-space model is obtained by introducing state-space vector, and then the time-discontinuous state-space model is obtained.The method of physical parameters identification is introduced and developed in the second part of this paper. There are some improvements on the traditional state-space realization algorithm, so it can be used on the practical structures, and the improved method is evaluated and identified through the simulation example.In the third part, the above-mentioned method is used for the identification of frame structure. From shaking table test results of a four-floor reinforced concrete frame structure, the structural physical parameters of the model structure are identified. By using the identified parameters, the dynamic responses are calculated by numerical method. It is found that the numerical results are satisfied the experimental results.
