The paper introduces the strain test of a long-cantilever steel structure andmakes out the structural stress response in the each construction phase, ensuringthe security of the structural construction. Then comparing the actual data with theresult of finite element analysis by ANSYS software,deduce the conclusion thatthe two results are identical. For the strain test includes fixing stress and jointingstress, on the one hand the conclusion validates the result of the finite elementcalculation and ensures the security of the calculation result in applying production,on the other hand it also concludes that the actual data is truer to reflect thestructural stress response. It concludes that the structure is very secure basing on the field strain test andanalysis by ANSYS software. This paper further optimizes the structure withtopological optimization method and obtains the quite reasonable initial structuralconfiguration form, then carries on the section optimization in order to decreasethe dosage of steel and the engineering cost in the condition of contenting theintensity and the rigidity request of the structure. This provides the importantreference to the structural designing and construction and has strong practicalvalue.
