Spring Clinch Joint Structure is a novel lightweight steel structure. Its projectof laying out tubes,cables and spring clinch joints is rooted in the exactly researchingabout the internal stresses of the Spring Clinch Joint Structure, and at same time, itconforms to the basic principle that Structure and architecture must satisfy eachother, and forms a particular and integrated structure system. Spring Clinch JointStructure has many excellent mechanics behavior and novel architectural sculpt,which are incomparable with other structure forms. Thus, this structure form haswidest development foreground. However, there is not any scholar who onceanalyzed this structure form by now. So this dissertation tries to make acomprehensive analysis of Spring Clinch Joint Structure from various points of view,aiming to help realize its application in engineering practice.The paper firstly mentions the research status of the lightweight steel structure indetail, and presents several lightweight structure forms that have widely been put intoengineering practice in many building fields. However, these forms' disadvantageis becoming more and more apparent. To solve the problem, the paper creatively putsforward a new lightweight steel system----Spring Clinch Joint Structure, andillustrates the advantages of the system in contract to other lightweight steel systems.So, according to its basic principle, the paper makes shape analysis of Spring ClinchJoint Structure, conceives lots of new structure forms, as well as lots of newstructural elements, which shows that the structure is rich in shape design, and inaccord with architecture design. Based on the demonstration, this dissertationmakes a study about the peculiarity of the structure internal force andtechno-economics. A comprehensive comparison is made between the Spring ClinchJoint Structure and the other structure system. Spring Clinch Joint Structure notonly makes full use of its material ability but also brings about innumerable profit.In additional, on the basis of the natural capacity of Spring Clinch JointStructure and the code for design of steel structures, the dissertation analyzes thebasic element----steel tubes by using the engineering calculated program----ANSYS.Under the circumstance of eccentric compression, if only geometrical nonlinear factorof the element is considered, steel tube's relation between load and displacement, andmaximum bearing capacity, is sharply affected by the effective length,thickness,eccentricity and strength of the steel tube, in which eccentricity has a biggestinfluence on the element and system. Under the circumstance of axis compression,the stability factor characteristic of the element directly defines whether or notSpring Clinch Joint Structure system is excellent.Finally, according to the thinking about Spring Clinch Joint Structure system,a concrete example is formed. By using some program written before, the papermakes an overall calculation on the example, furthermore does a deep research onits result.
