The structural system of Chinese Water Conservancy Museum is complicated.Belonging to a structural type with vertically irregular configuration, it has a hugebatholith gradually shrinking vertically, and a tower with its shape withdrawing layerupon layer. Additionally, in order to satisfy the functional requirements, the wholestructure is vertically composed of different lateral force-resistant systems. From bottomto top, they are the reinforced concrete kern tube-reinforced concrete frame structuralsystem at the bottom batholith, the reinforced concrete kern tube-steel frame structuralsystem at the intermediate main tower, and the spatial arch-shaped net tube-steel framedcolumn composite at the shared clear top.Through the numerical simulation analysis of the irregular steel high-rise of ChineseWater Conservancy Museum, the thesis mainly covers the following topics: (1) How tochoose a proper structural system for the high-rise with a single-tower batholith, a cleartop, and a configuration which shrinks gradually layer upon layer, (2) How to control thetorsional vibration of the tube structure, (3) How to deal with the joints of the shrinkingalternate columns in the tower structure. (4)How to specify the damping value whenanalyzing the composite vertically composed of different structural systems.Based on the results of the numerical simulation analysis of the irregular steel high-rise of Chinese Water Conservancy Museum, some conclusions and suggestions areproposed in the thesis, which could serve as references to other parallel works.
