The rock and soil masses effected in underground engineering is called surrounding rock. The stable surrounding rock refers to rock and soil masses does not produce break or loses steadilying under vary geological strength or the project loading in certain periods. It is a balance state of destroying to excavate cave room in the rock and soil masses, cause the stress to be distributed, and make the surrounding rock been deformed. When the stress has reached or exceeded the intensity limit of the surrounding rock, it will also produce greater plasticity out of shape except the elasticity, if does not prevent such development out of shape, will cause the surrounding rock to break, even lose and destroy steadily, then need to prop up protecting to the surrounding rock.Therefore, the measurement and mapping of deformation to surrounding rock becomes an important link and to be reckoned in underground engineering. This paper come from the basic principle sets out from the measurement and mapping of deformation to surrounding rock, have explained the technological method that specific surrounding rock deformation, measured the data processing and analysised the deformation course and characteristic of the specific surrounding rock in detail. According to the phased characteristic of the surrounding rock out of shape, the development and changing the characteristic was summarized during the course of constructing differently and the project development. Each kind of specific surrounding rock deformation was fitted out the whole course curve and equation out of shape, and curved out of shape of country rock and equation out of shape at different stages. Utilizing deformation curve and equation fitting out, this paper has put forward the general curve and equation of the specific surrounding rock deformation. Finally, this paper explored into the division and standard of the stable state of surrounding rock, the surrounding rock losted steadily and the dangerous situation is predicted, surrounding rock deformation control and its standards, surrounding rock prop up relevant technology that protect and the protect opportunity, etc issue, and has proposed the underground project rational tunnelling way under the weak broken surrounding rock situation.This paper has study the general characteristic of the specific surrounding rock deformation, has explained the mechanism of the surrounding rock out of shape, according to the curve deformation of surrounding rock and equation, the research of this paper can offer methods reference for relevant underground engineering, at the same time the result of this paper can instruct the similar underground project to construct actually and monitoring dynamically safely of project.
