As the development of exploitations for ocean oil is carried on more and more, we should build many ocean platforms. For the increasing of platforms, collisions between ship and ocean platform occur frequently, and the frequency becomes higher and higher. Once the accident happened, the loss of lives and property and destroy to environment are striking. Recently, in order to reduce the loss of accidents, many experts bend themselves to the study of the mechanism in ship/ocean platform collisions.The collision between ship and ocean platform is a complicated non-linear dynamic response process under extreme large load in a very short time. Because of the complicacy and the uncertain factors in collision process, it is nearly impossible to make theoretic analysis by building up an accurate mathematic model. Therefore, numerical simulation by finite element analyses will become a more and more effective means in the analysis of collision problems between ship and ocean platform nowadays.Based on the former research, the thesis puts forward a new analysis method which will predigest the ship and ocean platform. This method can avoid the style of multi-step and multi-calculation in traditional method. It also decreases depending on the initial data. So it is very convenient. The thesis carrys on numerical test to select appropriate material model and conform the state of strain rate. Based on former test, the thesis analysises the dynamic characteristic of ocean platform when it is impacted by 5000t ship(including entrained water) at the speed of 1m/s, 2m/s, 5m/s.At last valuable conclusion is educed.The thesis has six chapters: in chapter one, the author introduces the background and significance of the study. Chapter two is introduction about the analytical method for solving approaches of external dynamics of ship/ocean platform collision. In chapter three, the fundamental theory for numerical simulation of collision is studied. In chapter four, the author simplifys the platform(jacket) and ship model and checks it. Then appropriate material model and the state of strain rate are selected. At last the author analysises the dynamic characteristic of ocean platform when it is impacted by 5000t ship(including entrained water) at the speed of 1rn, 2m, 5m/s based on former test. In chapter five, the author sums up the whole work, and prospects future research.
