The Design And Research Of VDR Based On Embedded Operating System VxWorks

Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) is commonly called as the ship black box, which is a kind of intelligent recorder devoted to recording and preservation important information and parameters during ship navigation process. Its function is equivalent to aircraft "black box". VDR can restore the information about ship location, dynamics, physical condition, orders and manipulate information in a safe and recoverable manner when the ship is running. Marine management agencies and owners can obtain the information in VDR, which can be used for the ship reference technical parameters of routine maintenance. When some unexpected accidents happen, the information can be helpful for the investigation. Therefore, development and production the VDR both conforming to China's national conditions and meeting the technical performance and functional requirements of the International Maritime Organization is of great significance in technology and applications. The main work of this paper is as followings:1. Based on the theory of VDR design, this paper designed the software and hardware architectures of VDR. The FPGA technology and arm-based system of signals intelligence collection module were used to collect the serial port data;Separate collection card is designed for Radar image data and audio data collection.2. This paper introduced a kind of embedded real-time operating systems VxWorks and its development software in details, compared several well-known operating systems and analysis the characteristics , portability and core of the VxWorks. This paper also introduced its development software Tornado and its system software development tool packets , core tools and the environment of cross-translation applications. All of above clarified the reliability of VxWorks as the operating system.3. The VDR system bases on PC/104 as a hardware platform. Real-time operating system VxWorks is used to design the control panel program, which establishes system program base on a hardware-based environmental, divides the VDR software architecture, and design applications relating reality. This paperconducted on debugging process made possible solution through debugging analysis and research.4. This paper designed workflow of the other independent equipment;Put forward the solutions to timer, multi-task and unusual treatment as three key technologies.
