Six Sigma is the most cogent method for modern enterprises to control quality and optimizing process, it is also a systematical tool to satisfy customers and to achieve persistent improvement. This thesis will make a research involving the topic-Research on the Process Optimization of Engine Speed Sensor. Based on the analysis of internal and external investigation and application of six sigma, and on the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) theory of six sigma, the research will discuss the parameter optimization of plastic molding process and quality control method of speed sensor by using the basic tools of six sigma, analyze the effect of warpage by different parameter group. The purpose of this study is to solve the speed sensor function length defect caused by warpage of molding process.The principle of speed sensor DG8 and current process issues are first introduced, and illustrate the character of molding process and optimization methods. Introduce the application foreground of six sigma quality control in process by analyzing the current quality status of automotive component enterprises in China.For the measurement system analysis of speed sensor, explain the theory and steps of gage repeatability and reproducibility analysis in details and perform GR&R study on measurement system of speed sensor. The theory of DOE and Taguchi method are illustrated in details, introduce warpage defect analysis of molding process and do parameter optimization of molding process by using Taguchi method to find the best parameters and the effect of different factors and levels on the variation of function length, later verify the best parameters by using SPC and calculate process Cpk.From above jobs, the molding process of speed sensor is controlled well with SPC, this solves well the deformation of warping caused by the ultra difference problem of the function length and denotes different parameters and impact on function length of level. The paper still well analyzes the current situation of the measuring system of the speed sensor, distinguishes the machine and operator'sinfluence on measuring change difference, understands the focal point of the measuring system to improve. DOE technology is used to obtain enough information in less test data , this can realize molding process optimization conveniently to find the best technics parameters. As a result, a good foundation in the range is laid to study under various technics parameters in the future.
