With the development of electric power industry, the quality of electric powerequipments is improving. The safety and reliability of operation for fuel-fired power sets,especially for the boiler equipment with high failure rate, has become an urgent problem to beresolved. Taking boiler superheater as the research object, an all-around analysis for its lifeexpenditure modes are made, life evaluation technique is studied, the position of dangerouspoints for superheater life monitoring is determined, and the calculation of life expenditure forsuperheater is made. Based on the above work, an on-line life expenditure monitoring systemfor super-heater of boiler is developed. In the system, the real-time input data comes frompower plant SIS system. Using Delphi language and SQL-server database, an on-line lifemonitoring software is programmed based on the structure of database and server. So theon-line calculation of life expenditure and the real-time tracing for the temperature ofsuperheater's dangerous points can be realized .
