| Voltage stability index calculated on the basis of power flow equationconventionally needs iterative computation of the whole system network, which istime consuming and therefore not appropriate for on-line monitoring. PhasorMeasuring Units (PMU) use accurate clock signal from GPS to provide asynchronized reference of system;therefore, phasor measurement between differentsubstations has established the foundation for on-line assessment of voltage stabilityin large-scale power system. The voltage stability indicator, , has been proposed inthis paper utilizing PMU measurements, which is grounded on power transmissionproperty of lines, the algorithm is simple and clear in physical conception as well aslinear. Finally, the performance of the proposed index is simulated with IEEE 39-bussystem, results show that could clearly detect most endangered areas that havepotential problems and therefore have an effective denotation of voltage stabilityprofile, furthermore, the outlined index is of significance in aspect of on-linemonitoring of voltage stability.LVSILVSI... |
