The main beams are designed as the steel beams;the secondary beams are designed as the steel-concrete composite beams. The traditional method is widely used in the world. But with the rise in price of steel, the steel-concrete composite beams offer a number of benefits, so they have been used as the main beams in some projects.But there are some undetermined factors with the use of the steel-concrete composite beams as the main beams. This paper mainly analyzes that how to select the analysis model of the steel-concrete composite beam. Using the uniform beam model or using the non-uniform beam has an evident effect on the internal forces of the frame. Different models are not disadvantageous for the main beams;but the moment in the columns increase or decrease in different models. The one-story one-span frame and the one-story two-span frame are studied in this paper. Under the same loads, the main beams are designed as different sections, and the computing results are analyzed and discussed in the paper.
