Compared with CCC (Conventional Cementitious Concrete), HPC (High Performance Concrete) has excellent durability and working ability. By mixing steel fibers, the toughness and the splitting tensile strength of concrete have been improved obviously also.Nowadays the ability of demand of the concrete are increased quickly, so the research of HPC is hot.This paper introduces the method to get the HPC, and do a study on various mechanical properties of C50 and C80 HPC and some abilities of their fresh concrete, which include cubic compressive strength, prismatic compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, Poisson ratio, modulus of deformation and toughness. Using environmental electron microscopy (ESEM), the micro-mechanism of HPC and its structure forming process were investigated.The results show that: different mineral admixtures and different addition of steel fibers both have effect to those properties. The concrete mixed with all the three mineral admixtures get higher toughness and better abilities than those with only two kinds;Poisson ratio and modulus of deformation changed smoothly. By mixing steel fibers, the toughness and the splitting tensile strength of concrete have been improved obviously, the compressive strength is changed smoothly, the Poisson ratio and modulus of deformation of concrete are changed little.From the Orthogonal Experiments we can find that all the three factors (kinds of steel, the volumes of steel and the kinds of mineral admixtures) do a little effect on the HPC's abilities.These two kinds concretes both have excellent abilities, should be used to structures.
