A Study On The Church Architectures Of Ningxia After Middle Period Of The 19th Century

The spread of Christianity in Ningxia, has gone through history of more than 100 years. Especially following western missionary preaching in Ningxia since modern times, had successively built the churches in Ningxia, had offered reference for the fact that we study Ningxia religious architecture influenced by Christianity's culture.In addition, the specialization study to the church buildings of Ningxia in professional field belong to blank still at present, so the study can remedy the shortage studied in this respect at present , promote the development in this research field, and help the development of study on relevant fields. So it is both necessary and possibility that carrying on studying systemly and deeply to historical development , extant state and building characteristic of Ningxia churches ,etc.The thesis takes the church buildings of Ningxia as the research object, pass the collection and criticism to relevant materials at first, criticize and describe the historical evolution , current situation , development degree , architecture characteristic and structure of the church buildings of Ningxia, attempt to carry on more and the whole argumentation to the church buildings of Ningxia. Secondly , choose several more typical building embodiments to survey and study on the spot from it, take firsthand materials as the core, utilize relevant literatures to carry on comparatively deep analysis and demonstration . Through studying their historical evolution and building structure, summarize the basic state and some architecture characteristic of Ningxia churches. On this basis, through comparing with the building of other areas churches of our country to Ningxia, have probed into the characteristic in architecture form, construction material and structural technologyof Ningxia churches. Then the thesis probe into Ningxia churches characteristic influenced by culture from foreign land buildings, and influence that such respects as the city , culture and society live, etc.Finally, this text summarizes the historical development state of the church buildings of Ningxia, summarizes the characteristic that the church buildings of Ningxia have , define the meaning of Ningxia churches, proposes and probes into the imagination further studied to the church buildings in the future.
