Radiant heating equipments can raise the temperature in a small area around it quickly, and they are used in tall buildings to heat regions where people move, avoiding the dissipation of a large amount of ineffective heat and saving the energy.Elec-radiator, developed by Xi'an University of architecture and technology and Northwest Investigation Design and Research Institute, aiming at tall buildings, use the carbon-fibre heating films the radiation element, has the merit of high thermal efficiency, long life, good effect of saving energy. Nevertheless, different material, different surface temperature and different location of radiators could bring different surrounding conditions inside the room. The author analyzed the distributing characteristic of temperature field at different locations with different material by experimental measurements and CFD, proving that a higher temperature could be gained at the normal direction. This result could be useful in engineering applications.Besides, we made the CFD-simulation to the radiating characteristic of skirt-type and plinth-type radiators, and discussed the heating surroundings of these two new products. The results showed that these two new products can both form small dry-bulb temperature gradient at the height of 0.575m~ 1.775m inside the room, and the closer to the middle of the room, the more consistent the dry-bulb temperature was. Good heating surroundings was formed inside the room where people moved by these two radiators, so they had the merit of saving energy and comfort.
