The present criterion of structure design mainly adopts the methods of approximate probability limit state design, but adopts the familiar multiply coefficients practical expression in engineering domain formally. For the same safe degree, the structure should have consistent reliability levels in different design life. According to this principle, the partial coefficients in multiply-coefficients practical expression should vary with different design life. But the present structure design criterion exists obvious deficiency in this aspect, and only several specifically values of design life are taking into account when ascertain the values of partial coefficients. Therefore, the applying scope of the expression has its limitation.According to the principle of consistent reliability levels, the practical design expression was revised, and the connotative reliability indexes in the present structure design criterion were analyzed in this paper, and taking these indexes as objective reliability indexes, established the relations between the partial coefficients in the improved practical design expression with design life, safe degree after systematical analysis. Thereafter the intact improved method of structure reliability design was put forward and a new expression of structure reliability design was confirmed in this paper.By this method, not only the present structure reliability design method was improved fundamentally and the consistency of reliability was realized better, but also the design life have greater applying scope. The results of this paper will supply reference to the revision of Unified standard for reliability design of engineering structures(GB50153)...
