Research On Landscape Design Of Small Town During Urbanization

As the development of economic constructon, peoples guadually transfer to medium-sized cityies and small towns, that stimulates the Urban Construction. The overall trend of urbanization process is moderate. But as we all know, the economic development is often at the expense of environment, take the current Urban Construction as an example, when economy flourish, the surrounding human and natural landscapes have been destroyed or disappeared forever.Based on field investigation and aimed at problems existed in the urban landscape design, also under the guide of landscape architecture, landscape ecology, urban design and relevant sustainable development theories, this paper focuses on ecological landscape design ideas of small town landscape, streetscape, square landscape, cultural scape, natural landscape and green environment, etc. For example, national, personal, cultural and geographical characteristics of the diverse forms of architectural style in small towns are propesed;we should pay attention to structure forms of streetscape and make them proper and pleasing;the principle "adjust measures to local conditions" should be reasonally used and design concepts with humanistic concern emphasized;the characteristics and cultural-inherting square design should be taken at an impotant place;historical and cultural landscape should be continued;respect natural conditions and conservate the integrity and continuity of the landscape patterns;take the sustainable development theories as guidelines to build ecological, feature and pleasant towns.Deeply understaning of urbanization and its process and rational use of land resources can be very useful to promote the healthy development of urban landscape. Analyzing the content of urbanization to guide the development of urban landscape contributes to the process of urbanization and rational use of land resources, and from the perspective of landscape, to avoid blind expansion and fasten the speed of urban construction.Take the Puyang town as a study case, the process and existing problems in landscape design of Puyang town in recent years are analyzed. This research can enhance our study' applicability.This paper only studies the landscape design of small towns during the process of urbanization, which is a complex research project and is impossible to be comprehensive. So, we wish our study can be useful for current Small Town Construction.
