| Tank car which used for transportation of liquids, liquids of gas and bulk goods in form of powder, is one of the major class of Chinese railroad freight cars. And the tank car makes about 18% of the total amount of freight cars. With tens of years' efforts, the tank car technique of our country has had a quite great progress, but there still has a certain gap compared with some developed countries. With the rapid development of national economy, the railroad traffic pressure is increased annually, so the Ministry of Railway of China brings forward a strategy called stride of railway, and freight car should raise speed and loading. As a result, new " Railway Primary Technical Policies " was issued in July, 2004.According to the service situation of local tank car, there are some defects for the light oil tank cars at present. The capacity is not large enough, which causes low loading when carrying small density mediums;The central part of the tank bottom often bends to be higher than the other parts, which results in the problem of not completely unloading. These problems cause that the oil tank car can not meet the requirement of the development, and therefore bring up the design mission of new light oil tank car.This thesis gives brief introduction of the tank car history and the structure of light oil tank cars in China, the American tank car history, and reviews the experience obtained in the past. After analyzing, the thesis introduces that the tank car design should assure safety, adopt advanced, mature, economic, applicable and reliable techniques, persist in innovation to meet the market demand. Then, the main structures and parameters of type G75 light oil tank car, such as large volume slope bottom tank and the length over pulling faces, are chosen. Then the carbody static strength calculation, strength test, impact test and the dynamic performance test are undertaken to verify the design. Finally, affirmation of the G75 tank car design is made, and development of tank car is previewed. |
