The oil and gas multiphase flow pump is the mostly implement of the multiphase deferent on the oil field. It can advance the output of the developed field and predigest the production equipment. Moreover it can reduce the project investment of the new exploiture oil field. So, it is more and more important to study the oil and gas multiphase pump. And it becomes the hot spot of the study on the multiphase convey .It is the effect of the suction chamber in the pump that it can assure the fluid flow to enter uniformity the impeller and advance the effect and the pitting resistance of the pump under the least water power lossing. To the multiphase pump, the gas liquid separation should be avoided to the best of one's abilities. It is essential process to improve the multiphase pump performance that the suction chamber which is accord with the front request should be designed. Study the interior flow field of the suction chamber of the multiphase pump and find the rule, thus the new-style suction chamber of the multiphase pump will be designed. And it is the important trend of the future developmental on the suction chamber of the multiphase pump.In this thesis, the situation of the multiphase pump in the oil field and the study condition at home and abroad and the development tendency are introduced. Because the Pro/E software possesses the well three-dimensional modeling function, the three-dimensional solid model of the semi-spiral type suction chamber of the YQH-100 type oil and gas multiphase flow pump which is developed by ourselves is build by using Pro/E. Then the interior flow field of the suction chamber is simulated and analysed in three deferent air content by using the advanced CFD software. By analyzing the velocity flow drawing, static pressure drawing total pressure drawing and so on, the structure of the suction chamber of the multiphase pump is studied and find the illogicality of the design, then amend the illogicality of the design. In allusion to the separation tongue where the variation in velocity and pressure and to reduce the loss there, the rounded angle radian in the separation tongue is increased properly and the thickness in the delivery end of the separation tongue is decreased in the axial. And the sampling test indicates that the efficiency of pump and the void fraction are both improved obviously. This shows that the measures which are assumed are effective and the profitable data is afforded for the latter design.
