As a new kind of composite beam, cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam is suitable for light steel structure system especially, comply with the urgent develop of light steel house in our country, and has broad application prospects. So the research on flexural capacity of cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam has far-reaching project meaning and prominent economic worth.According to the characteristics of cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam, this paper sets up composite beam nonlinear finite element model by choosing suitable units and material constitutional relationships with ANSYS. The model considers bonding and slip of composite beam common boundary and receives the accurate result. The slip property of cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam is analyzed in this paper, and the formula for calculating slip is presented. Some factors that influence the slip are studied. Moreover, the influences of slip for deflection, elastic flexural capacity and ultimate flexural strength are researched, and corresponding formulas are inferred. As cold-formed thin-wall steel has some incident characteristics of local buckling, the local buckling property of cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam is analyzed. And the elastic buckling stresses of steel beam web and flange wall are calculated in this text. Using effective section method gets effective height-thickness ratio of beam web and effective width-thickness ratio of flange wall. Finally, the influence of local buckling to flexural capacity of cold-formed thin-wall steel and concrete composite beam is analyzed.
