The Unmanned Air Vehicles Tactical Control System (UAV-TCS, for short TCS) is aninnovation of the usage of UAV. It aims to explore a common unit, which can control andcommand all UAV from now to future. An important capability of TCS is to disseminate theintelligence products from UAV to kinds of the intelligence users real-timely, especially forImage Intelligence (IMINT).Currently, unified formats, opened architecture, universally andreal-timely are the direction of the development about the dissemination of intelligence in thebattlefield. It is necessary to enact a Transmission Format and frame an Opened Architecture ofDissemination for TCS IMINT, for that is significant to improve the efficiency of the usage ofIMINT from UAV.Based on the principle system of TCS, this paper has a research for the technology of theTCS IMINT dissemination, which includes two points: the Transmission Format and the OpenedArchitecture of Dissemination.To enact the IMINT Transmission Format, The National Imagery Transmission Format usedUSA Army has been reviewed; the two Still Image Compression Standards: JPEG andJPEG2000 have been introduced and compared; At last, a format for UAV Image IntelligenceTransmission, which has an ability of Progressive Transmission, has been put forward, theperformance of this format for transmission has been tested.To meet the necessary and improve the performance of Distributed Transmission of IMINTTCS, a way based on CORBA has been put forward, which transmits the IMINT by theparameter passing of the RPC and control the dissemination of IMINT by the Notify Service ofCORBA. Based on this way, this paper designs an opened architecture for TCS IMINTDissemination. To satisfy Real-time performance of the dissemination, a schedule based on thenotify service has been put forward, which has been proved that have an improvement in theperformance by the theoretical analysis.Finally, a demo of the TCS IMINT dissemination has been introduced, which candemonstrate that a TCS accepts the images from kinds of UAVs, formats the images to IMINT,and sends those IMINT to kinds of users. During this demo, the efficiency of disseminationbased on CORBA has been tested and discussed, with a comparison of the method of by TCP/IP,outcomes shows the new method has a better time performance, while brings an OpenedArchitecture for the TCS IMINT Dissemination.
