Mega-frame structure which belongs to super high-rise building structure system is also known as major-sub-frame structures. The particular two-lever load-carrying system of mega-frame is not only helpful to increase integrity of the structures, improve structural safely properties, economize material and engineering cost, but also bring more flexibility for building design. At the same time it has the shortcoming of complex mechanics analysis.In this thesis we mainly discuss the structure behaviors of the mega structure.Firstly considering the differences between mega-frame and normal-frame, that is the influence of rigid zone and shearing type deformation are considered. A computer program for calculation of mega-frame structures based on element stiffness matrix to members with rigid zone considering shearing type deformation has been written and some of mega-frames have been calculated by using the program. The mechanics characteristic and deformation of mega-frame structure under vertical load and horizontal loads is studied. The result shows that there is huge difference existing between mega-frame and normal-frame, and the major-frame is the primary structural system under any circumstances.Contraposing its characteristic of two-lever support system, this dissertation discusses the influence of stiffness ratio to the mechanics behaviors, and analyses the variety trend of the mechanics behaviors along with the change of stiffness ratio.In order to simplify computing, we always ignore the effect of secondary frame to resist the horizontal loads in designing the mage-frame. But that result is thought too conservative. So in that foundation this thesis proposed the amendatory expressions which can neglect the effect of secondary frame in computing structure lateral displacement, and this correction coefficient enhances the computation precision of that simplification method.The primary structure and secondary structure of mage-frame can use the different material to carry on the combination. When the primary structure is reinforced concrete structure and the secondary structure is steel structure, the joint between two kind structures can be rigid connection,semi-rigid connection and hinged connection.
