The caculation of Settlement and deformation is the one of important studing subjects in soil mechanics.Since Terzaghi presented the theory of one dimension consolidation,both the theory of settlement and deformation and the estimating precision of them have made great progress.It comes to the problem of settlement and deformation of roadbed which is composed of soft clay foundation at the bottom and embankment at the top during the constructing highway.It is the semi-theoretical and semi-experienced method of the conventional caculating method of settlement and deformation.Because of the complexity in the roadbed's settlement,there has also been a big error between the consequence based on the conventional method and the actual value.Therefore,this thesis will caculate and analysis the settlement and deformation of roadbed in the way of numerical analysis.Firstly,this thesis analysises the problem of settlement of roadbed in the opinion of time and space.The key to studing the problem in the opinion of time is to tracing the whole process of settlement changing during the constructing.This thesis considers the procedure of grading loading as the studing process,the physical index on the random points in the soft clay foundation as the subject investigated,the Biot consolidation, finite-element method as the research technique.This thesis associates the actual projects,and compared the numerical solution with the actual value;ln the opinion of space,this thesis divides the composition of settlement into two parts:the soft clay foundation's consolidated settlement at the bottom and the embankment's settlement at the (?)op. The most important value which we cares about is the final settlement value of (?)bankment.For the final settlement value of embankment,it is externalized by the procedure of grading loading.This thesis generates the Program BCTFP which is the type of Biot consolidation finite-element method at the condition of plane strain.In addition,this thesis certificates the reliability of BCTFP with a represntative one consolidation problem.Thus.this thesis makes use of BCTFP to caculate and analysis the consolidation settlement of soft clay foundation at the bottom of roadbed in the actual project,also researches the settlement of soft foundation's surface,the...
