Reinforced concrete cantilevered anti-slide piles and sunken anti-slide piles are two engineering technologies which are most widely use and characteristically in Chongqing region.the latter one is rising in recent years which is economical and practical. Compared with cantilevered anti-slide piles, the sunken anti-slide piles bear less moment ,cost less materials ,thus they not only play the mechanical performances better,but also reduce the projet cost.At present, sunken anti-slide piles'design is on junior phase , people have not established a mature and practical design method,and their work mechanism is not well known by us .this paper lucubrates the mature and practical design method of sunken anti-slide piles and their work mechanism.Firstly ,From the design standpoint, the clear design route of sunken anti-slide piles was put forward, the design guidelines was summarized,which include the aplly conditions,basic definition, controlling conditions and measures.Secondly,according to the design guidelines, the controlling condition formula of sunken anti-slide piles'cantilever length was improved, in addition,with the help of FEM analyse and model test indoor , the horizontal depth-modified formula of foundation capacity and the controlling condition formula of sunken anti-slide piles'cantilever length were deduced .Thirdly, the work mechanism of sunken anti-slide piles and their arch domino offect by use of academic analyse and model test indoor were lucubrated, so some practical conclusions were put forward .Fourthly , Base on the ways to caculating anchor depth of cantilevered anti-slide piles and anchor rock piles nowadays, the optimized methods to elastic foundation beam method by use of the initial parameter solution of"k"method and the exponential progression solution of"m"method were established,in addition,the improval methods to ultimate balance method of cantilevered anti-slide piles was set up,finally,the the ways to caculating anchor depth of sunken anti-slide piles were put forward.Fifthly,the other several desing problems of sunken anti-slide piles which include the space between two piles,caculating width and so on were studied,also some significative conclusions were achieved.Finally ,the system info of design method of sunken anti-slide piles was set up,and...
