Hydraulic excavator is one of the main products of the engineering machinery and equipment, which is commonly used in mining exploration, road construction, national defense construction, agricultural irrigation and other infrastructure. With the rapid development of national economy of China and the increase in infrastructure projects, the market's demand for hydraulic excavator increases largely, but the number of current domestic hydraulic excavators is relatively few. Furthermore, most of them are small equipment whose bucket capacity is less than 2.5m3, and the medium-sized equipments are less, as well as the large-sized equipments are still scarce in the domestic. Hydraulic excavator made in China fails to meet the needs of the domestic market in varieties, specifications and the number, and there is still a big gap in product technology, reliability and manufacturing quality between the foreign hydraulic excavator and our country's.Current design of domestic hydraulic excavator still is in the stage of imitation and the lack of independent development capabilities. To continuously improve the share of hydraulic excavator in the domestic market and also narrow the gap between the quality of hydraulic excavators at home and abroad, many domestic excavator manufacturers have introduced foreign advanced excavator products and continuously modified product design to improve its quality on the basis of technology digestion and absorption for foreign products.The excavation performance chart is one of the important means that assess the design rationality of excavator attachment. The excavation performance data points chart, which can reflect the digging force on the teetch of bucket, power utilization of hydraulic pump and three hydraulic cylinders'matching and so on, had been drew by programming in the past. However for the designers, whether in technical absorption of foreign excavator or in product design, the comprehension and grasp for the products'overall performance were needed urgently in the stage of overall design. The excavation performance chart including the boundary lines among various restricting ranges is very important for designers to visually and accurately understand the following infomations: 1)wether the three hydraulic cylinders'match of hydraulic excavator attachment, the barycenter distribution of excavator's every segments and the weight of excavator are rational or not, and 2)whether engine power exerts enough or not, and is the main...
