In this paper, summary to the current problems and design requirements of existing power telemechanics channel detecting and switching software, we realize visual management by developing such a powerful, effective software with object oriented development and database. Proceeding from specialization, this software not only provides strong functions like database querying and utilization ratio analysing, but also considers the practicability of functions like serial communication, data reports, user management and so on, meanwhile, offers many professional UI elements like guarding light. A telemechanics channel detecting tool as this software is, it can correctly present the RTU's accidents and channel switching, provide manual operation, all of these increase the efficiency of working and fully reflect the system's design requirements. As a visual open telemechanics channel detecting software, it can be applied to most power system's telemechanics generally combining with control devices.What this paper has finished mainly as follows: building the accident database which includes the node information table, the accidents information table, the statics information table and the user information table, using VC ODBC to access the datas of database and developing serial program on self-defined communication protocol and self-packed comm class, drawing the nodes and channels on the node tops' view by adopting GDI, integrating high frequency operations like manual, guarding and basic information like user name, user ID, local clock to create interactive operating environment, being able to add, edit, delete channels, meanwhile providing functions of database querying and channel utilization ratio analysing, also allowing outputting data to excel for analysing and printing.
