Research On The Design Method Of The Disposable Machine

The mechanisms and mechanical components in general use are mostly used long-term and recurrently, and most of these mechanical components bear long-term loads and alternate loads. For convenient for comparing, we call this sort of mechanisms conventional machine. However, there is a special sort of actuating mechanism, they don't bear long-term and alternate loads or merely bear short-term alternate loads. The working lives of this sort of mechanism are all awfully short, and most of them are used only once, such as the actuating mechanisms of missiles and fish torpedoes. In this thesis, these short-life mechanisms were sorted out, and were called disposable machine uniformly.The design methods of the conventional machine have been already quite mature. For the disposable machine, if they were designed in the conventional methods, then the capacities and weights cannot meet the specific requirements. So it is necessary to research an adaptive design method for the disposable machine. In this thesis, compared with the conventional machine, the characters and the applied ranges of the disposable machine have been analyzed and concluded, and the leading idea of the design method of the disposable machine has been determined. Then it is that, in the design process, the fatigue and wear of the mechanisms are not considered, and the mechanisms are designed according to the static strength.In this thesis, the design methods of the disposable gears and disposable shafts have been researched. And the disposable gears and disposable shafts were designed in conventional method and in the method of disposable machine, respectively. According to the comparison of the design results, it can be said that, the volumes of the mechanisms can be reduced effectively by using the design method of disposable machine. If the actuating mechanisms are designed in the method of disposable machine, the minimum of the volumes of the mechanisms can be obtained. The stress analysis of gears and shafts were done with ANSYS, and it was verified that these mechanisms can meet the using requirements.
