| The DC traction supply system is a complex system, and its critical technology is the control and protection system in DC supply system. The protection devices of DC supply system, which provide relay protection for DC traction supply system and play a key role in keeping safety and reliability as the subway is wheeling, are fixed in switch cabinets. At present, the research and development of DC protection device in our country is still at the starting stage, however, developing home equipment is an inevitable trend, so it has important actual value and extensive market prospect to research and develop highly reliable and intelligent protection device in DC traction supply system.The protection of feeder line in DC traction supply system is based on microcomputer, which is used to control and protect the high-speed circuit breakers. The protection device integrates many kinds of functions such as monitoring, calculation, control, input, output and communication. The DC control and protection system should possess the characteristic of modularization and high adaptability, so as to satisfy all kinds of need in DC traction supply system. This paper mainly researches the subway DC protection and control principal and the hardware attainable programme.Firstly, the paper makes some discussion and research on the functional need and attainable programme of subway DC supply system, and introduces the configuration of switch cabinet in electric substation for subway DC traction.Secondly, the paper researches the protection principal, whose score is DDL protection mode. And then on this basis, it analyses the digital control logic combining with the protection and control functions.Finally, the paper presents the detailed hardware constitution of DC protection device. It designs every module of the protection system, and presents the hardware configuration and the circuits diagram, so that a completed hardware attainable programme of the DC protection device is basically formed.
