In order to investigate the effective current detecting methods of APF, this paper discussed an advanced i_p,i_q method and wavelet analysis approach. It covers two aspects: in one hand putting forward an advanced i_p,i_q detecting method on the basis of conventional hybrid control approach, which takes simple integral, time delay circuit and plus in place of conventional lower-pass filter and reduces the delay time to 1/6 power cycle. The simulation results prove the correctness of arithmetic.On the other hand, correlative theory of using wavelet analysis in current detecting and the characters of the various wavelet groups that used in the paper has been introduced. According to wavelet analysis the power system harmonic current has been real-time followed, and multi-demands detection with wavelet has been realized. This paper also introduces the principium of APF, puts forward the framework of the wavelet APF and designs the detect circuit of the wavelet APF primarily. The results indicate the obvious effect of following up the various transform of harmonic circuit, which is the most important function of APE.
