The bedrock surface slopes steeply in karst areas, and the form and size of karst caves are different. These make the bearing mechanical behavior of the bedrock be different from that of the half infinite medium, and its bearing capaticy decreases greatly, so it is necessary to study its stability. In this paper, the methods applied to engineering geological exploration are summarized by means of arranging, analyzing and studying the data. The computer simulation in the roof of karst cave is analyzed and calculated by three-dimensional finite element method so as to study its stability. Based on which is mentioned above, the relation can be got by means of multivariate liner regression method, which is between the critical value of the distance from pile foot to karst cave top and the karst cave sizes and designed load of single pile. According to the relation, socketed critical depth of the pile foundation may be obtained. Then, verification and comparison is done to 15 engineering examples separately and 149 pile foundation by the regression equation above-mentioned and other analysis methods introduced before, in order to verify the reliability of the regression equation. It may draw a conclusion that the results coincide with the truth.
