The concentration of NOx emission is high in the coal combustion generation in our country, which is dissatisfied the criteria of the national NOx emission control. And further more, the push of NOx pollution charge fee will effect the economic of power plants. So based on the skeleton of boiler in existence, it's having great realism sinificent to achieve the requirement of NOx emission control through modification of combustion system. The correlative analysis in grey system is adopted to analyze the correlative degree of the physical & chemical characteristic indexes with fuel nitrogen conversion rate, which measured in a large scale dropping tube furnace. Correlation index FCI is established to reflect the relationship between pulverized coal characteristics and fuel nitrogen conversion rate. The experimental results indicated that fuel characteristic index (FCI) could reflect the emission variability of NOx in coal combustion, and the relation between FCI and Cr are presented as a linear type in the same combusting condition. Further more, the varied coal firing experiments in a power plant could indicate that highly efficient and low pollutant emission rate in varied coal firing could be promoted by suitable parameters adjustment based on FCI analyzing. It also provide gist to eliminate the effect of NOx emission capacity by the different coal quality combustion in the evaluation process of combustion burner modification.Based on FLUENT, which is a numerical experimental plat, numerical simulation research was undertook to study the gas-solid phases flow characteristic of low NOx deflectable deposited perimeter air combustion burner and its application on large scale power plant boiler. The numerical experimental result indicated that perimeter air deflectable deposited burner could ensure the flame stability, prevent spout fire carrying and promote low pollutant emission combustion. Furthermore, it ensured the water-wall be on the oxidation atmosphere, which could solve the problems of high temperature erosion and slagging on the water-wall.
