This thesis mainly focuses on the principle, characteristic and the experiment of the pressure-boost switchmode hydraulic power supply. Firstly, the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional hydraulic system are analyzed with the emphasis on its energy-saving technique and pressure-transforming technique. Then the characteristic of the high-speed on/off hydraulic system and the switchmode hydraulic system are introduced. Secondly, the structure and the principle of the pressure-boost switchmode hydraulic power supply are proposed according to the similarity between the electric system and the hydraulic system, and the steady characteristic of this system is also analyzed. Finally, the energy loss and the dynamic characteristic of the components and the system are studied and the rationality of the structure and the performance of the system are also proved through the experiments.The first chapter is concerned about the energy-saving effect and pressure-transforming effect of multi-actuator hydraulic system. Based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional hydraulic systems and the control system with high-speed on/off valve, it introduces switchmode hydraulic power supply in general. It shows advantages in energy-saving aspect using switchmode hydraulic power supply to multi-actuator system with one pump. After analyzing these systems in detail, the purpose, prospective and the research contents of the research topic are also given.The second chapter lays emphasis on finding out the reasonable structure of the pressure boost switchmode hydraulic power supply by taking advantage of the similarity of electric system and hydraulic system, which can realize the continuous pressure boost with individual hydraulic components.In the third chapter, it shows that switchmode hydraulic power supply has a large energy loss as the high-speed on/off valve turns on or off. The energy loss is relation to the frequency of the on/off valve. We divide the energy loss into two parts: dynamic loss and instantaneous loss. In order to decrease the loss of the system, it is necessary to build mathematical model and analyze the dynamic characteristic of all the hydraulic components including high-speed on/off valve, high-speed check valve, hydraulic capacitance, hydraulic inductance and hydraulic pipeline.
