Due to the advantage of heat and mass transfer, Spirally Fluted Horizontal Tube is expected to have better behaviors in micro-combustor.The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance of film combustion on fluted horizontal tube in micro-combustor. A 20KW out put of micro-combustor was developed and an experimental test was also established. The experimental results show that the named combustion efficiency of the film combustion is about 83% and the mean combustion temperature is around 810℃.The experimental comparison between film combustion and spindle spray combustion shows that the film combustion is 5% higher in combustion efficiency than spindle spray combustion.A 3KW out put of micro-combustor based on rising film on the surface of fluted horizontal tube was developed and an experimental test was also established. The experimental results show that the prototype has low NOx emission together with its rapid and stable ignition result. With the development of the combustion chambers, a kind of electromagnetic-driven fuel pump has been developed. The power can be adjusted easily so that one size of this kind of pump can be suitable for several fireboxes with different power.
