The economy, efficiency, reliability and security of power system are devoted more and more attention to, so the development of emergency control is becoming increasingly important. Meanwhile, the competition of power market makes the stability of power system be close to limitation. It makes the ability to bear the disturbance come down. One of the keys that settle the contradiction is emergency control. With the department of computer technology, it is possible that complex scheme for emergency control based on a great deal of data is realized. As a result, the emergency scheme of centralized management and hierarchical control is brought forward. After an algorithm of emergency control and the technology of intelligent agent are studied, a cooperated scheme for emergency control of power system is designed based on the thinking of centralized management and hierarchical control. The cooperated scheme of emergency control is composed of control center and intelligent agents at all regions. The identification of control regions is a difficult problem in the scheme of centralized management and hierarchical control. In the paper, the algorithm of obtain manor on a horse is put forward to solve the problem. Responding to the change of the structure of some power network, the algorithm divides the network into some action regions. There is only a Lord Agent at each region. Lord Agents of all regions and intelligent agents in the action region form multi-agent system based on the theory of contract network and cooperative schematization. Finally, the algorithm of obtain manor on a horse and the agent-based cooperated scheme for emergency control of power system are verified in a certain power system of WSCC 4. The power system of WSCC 4 is divided into some action region on the algorithm of obtain manor on a horse. Lord Agents respond so quickly to emergency faults at different points that the speedy need of emergency control is met.
