Being an important kind of green renewable energy, the hydropower has been always developed and utilized adequately by both here and abroad. Along with the gradually establishment and consummation in our country electric power market mechanism, the hydroelectric power station economic dispatch will become one of important technical work to guarantee the power safety and the economic operation. It has direct acting with the conservative use of natural resources and the economic operation of the hydroelectric power stations into the economic benefits of the whole power network. At present the reservoir operation and the management place a great deal of importance on it.The cascading hydroelectric stations has reservoir that possess the year-term regulation ability, it is popular in our country, which the top level reservoir has regulations for years, and the others only has regulations for days. Using automatic dispatch system to carry on the economic dispatch for this kind of stave hydroelectric power stations, the problems bellowed are needed to solve: electrical parameter and hydro-energy parameter synchronized gathering and processing, the affects on optimizes statistical by forecast precision of hydrology, meteorology, load and its randomness, abandons water and adjustment peak value on hydroelectric power stations, so we need to carries on the further development and the consummation for the existing water and electricity optimization dispatch theory and the technology.This article has in view of TianQuan river cascade hydroelectric power stations which have been constructed and its reservoir has regulations for years. Proposes a new idea for real-time optimizing dispatch of cascade hydroelectric power stations.
