Nowadays, our country is in the implementation stage of "Interconnection in the whole country, transmission electric power from West to East and exchange power between South and North" electric strategy. The interconnection of power grids makes the net construction originally weak face much more challenge. The power oscillation of transmission lines occurred frequently, by which the security of power system is seriously affected. So the researches of stability of power systems do not be interrupted. The power systems are much complex nonlinear and time-varying systems, and the dynamic characters of the actual system are not always satisfactory. So to keep good dynamic characters of the whole system is difficult. It must rely on the power control system. So many years, people have kept study in improving the stability and reliability of power systems by all kinds of controllers. From the former accidents, it is found that the design of separate controller always could not get anticipant effect on dynamic performance of whole system. Therefore, the focus fixes on the coordination of multi-controller.According to the study results of kinds of measures to damp oscillation which was done by CIGRE, this paper discusses coordinated control of additional excitation control, static var compensator (SVC) and HVDC additional power modulation.
